If you’re a tram user, how will TIF help?
New destinations
New destinations will be served by the currently funded extensions to the Metrolink system. These lines will run to:
- Chorlton-cum-Hardy
- Oldham & Rochdale
- Droylsden
- MediaCity:UK, via a spur off the Eccles line.
With TIF support, Metrolink services would extend to even more destinations, including:
- East Didsbury
- Manchester Airport
- Oldham and Rochdale town centres
- Ashton-under-Lyne
In addition, funding has been earmarked for an extension to the Trafford Centre, via Trafford Park.
