New routes and services

New facilities will make cycling a safer and more attractive option for local trips. The aim is to introduce:

  • An expanded cycle network throughout Greater Manchester, including routes to tram and train stations.
  • More than 2,500 extra cycle parking spaces at 250 new locations.
  • Secure bike parking facilities at rail and Metrolink stations.
  • An innovative on-street cycle hire scheme for Manchester city centre.
